About El Monte Gringo

Located just north of McCook, Texas, El Monte Gringo Ranch is owned and operated by Shawn and Lori Gerlach.

Founded in April 2012, El Monte Gringo Ranch is on an environmental conservation easement, and is characterized by over 1,200 acres of virgin South Texas Brush, and is a thriving habitat for native wildlife such as Whitetail deer, Quail, White Wing, Morning Dove, Rio Grande Turkey, Bobcats, Javelinas, and Coyotes.

We have moved quickly to improve upon the impressive quality of the ranch’s native whitetail deer by feeding protein throughout the year, maintaining high protein food plots, and annually releasing deer from our deer breeding facility.
